Film industry event in Los Angeles

In November we co-hosted special events during the American film market in Los Angeles. We had the pleasure of bringing together Finnish film industry professionals, Finnish companies in the US, and U.S. entertainment industry executives in Los Angeles.

Midsummer in Hollywood screening showcased high-quality Finnish Films in Los Angeles on November 2-3 2022 at Lumiere Cinema at Doheny & Wilshire. We had the honor to co-host the screening of the newly released Wait (Odotus) movie, directed by the legendary Aku Louhimies! After the movie, we had a Q & A session with Aku Louhimies, movie stars Inka Kallen and Andrei Alén. The Wait is Finland’s first carbon-neutral film.

In the evening we co-hosted a networking event with the Consulate General of Finland in and the Film in Finland that has taken action to grow Finnish film industry. Film in Finland offers a production incentive, a 25 cash rebate for film production costs accrued in Finland. Read more

Networking event was organised at the residence of the Finnish Consulate Okko-Pekka Salmimies In Los Angeles. During the networking event, we heard great speeches and Finland-based chef Richard Mccormick treated the quests with delicious vegetarian foods.

A keynote speaker Emilia Vuorisalmi a bestselling author and actress shared her recipe for sustainable health true balance and taking control of one's well-being. At our "Keep it cool, recharge with the Finns" theme we wanted to show our guests the Finnish way of relaxing and few fearless quests even dipped into ice jacuzzi!
