In an effort to make NYC a leader in public transit, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is undergoing a structural reorganization and looking for innovative ways to better its current system, from faster signaling to better cyber-security measures as well as better data analytics. The MTA is also striving to modernize the engineering of the public transit system as well as making the system more accessible for people of all abilities while avoiding fare evasion.
