Lunch with Ms. Anne-Mari Virolainen, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland

FACC, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Finland, was honored to host a lunch meeting for Ms. Anne-Mari Virolainen, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland on 27th September. We had a pleasant afternoon at the beautiful Residence of the Finnish Consul Manu Virtamo. The discussion covered the current situation of Finnish companies and their American partners in the US market. The minister gave an inspiring speech about Finnish exports and the work that has been done, and which also shall be further developed, in favor of improving the trade between Finland and the US. She also emphasized the importance of FACC in the mission of improving trade. We also heard stories from members of FACC. We had Finnish Businesses who have succeeded in the US market: Berit Virtanen-Thewlis from Claned, Timo Laaksonen from F-Secure. We also had George Caraberis from Fredericks Michael & Co giving an insight how it is like to help Finnish companies to enter the US market from M&A perspective.

We want to thank the Minister for joining us and the Finnish Consul for hosting our lunch. Thank you also Berit Virtanen, Timo Laaksonen and George Caraberis for sharing your stories and thoughts. And of course a big thanks for every guest who joined our lunch as well.
