UN Sustainable Development Goals: COVID-19 and the Decade of Action

Join the five Nordic UN Ambassadors in conversation with executives from Volvo Car USA, Marel, Novozymes, and DNV-GL

The United Nations shared vision to end poverty, rescue the planet and build a peaceful world are laid out in the UN‘s Sustainable Development Goals from 2015. Time flies and the UN and its partners have only 10 more years to deliver on the 2030 promise and is calling on governments, civil society, businesses, and all people to accelerate their efforts and make the Sustainable Development Goals their own.

The Nordics have an important voice in this mission and are responding with a Nordic “Build Back Better and Greener” plan as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Their plan recognizes the pivotal role of the private sector and the potential in private-public-partnerships in achieving common goals. Embarking on the Decade of Action in a global pandemic obviously entails challenges, but also opportunities in building back better and greener.

Please join the Nordic Chambers of Commerce for a panel discussion on November 11th at 9-10:30am EST on how the Nordic response to the pandemic can push forward the Decade of Action. Panelists include the five Nordic permanent representatives to the UN and five corporations from the Nordics.
