Nordic Innovation and Sustainability Forum 2024

The 2024 Nordic Innovation and Sustainability (NIS) Forum was held at the Embassy of Sweden in the USA. This year's focus was on maritime sustainability and evolving trends in deep-sea shipping. The event was a collaboration between FACC-NY, NorCham Washington and SACC-DC.

The event consisted of keynotes and two separate panel discussions. Keynote speakers were from DNV and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). FACC President Kati Kaivonen was present at the event in Washington along with with fellow Finns Samuli Hanninen from ABB, moderator Dr. Johannes Urpelainen and second panel moderator Ulla Lainio.

Special appreciation goes to Jordan Haverly for representing FACC Executive Member company Neste during the panel discussion. The fellow panelists represented the following companies: ABB, Alfa Laval, Equinor, Volvo Penta, DNV and Innovation Norway. FACC thanks all the participants at the event along with the Swedish Embassy for being a spectacular host for all.
